Introduction

Immediate loading, immediate temporisation and immediate extraction implantation are techniques which are part of actual medical knowledge’s. These technics can concern single, plural or full tooth loss. Their main advantages are in most cases: a short time of treatment, preservation of bone and gingival tissue, management of the aesthetic. Today these techniques must be used each time it is possible, for this, a knowledge of bone healing, a knowledge and control of the implant system used is necessary. We must know also the different traps to be avoided. The patients requiring implant treatments and who have a width and a sufficient bone height, a healed bone, no periodontal problem who of more are ready to wait 6 months to finish their treatment, exist certainly but seldom. Often our patients want their teeth immediately, we can see roots to be extracted, we can see anatomic obstacles etc. On the other hand to work on healed sites present advantages but also sometimes disadvantages in the management of gingival tissues. The management of the aesthetic, of the bone loss or the small available volumes can be made easier by these new techniques. So depending on circumstances we shall be able to use immediate loading, immediate temporisation with or without immediate extraction, we can also choose to wait for the healing and to work more classically on a healed site. These techniques require a knowledge of the mechanisms of the bone healing, a good knowledge of several particular surgical techniques and of the implant system used. We are going to see these different points today and this theoretical conference will be accompanied with practical works correponding to this conference .

Educational objectives
  1. Learn what is immediate temporisation, immediate loading, immediate extraction implantation
  2. Learn indications,advantages, inconvenients
  3. Learn the different technics by beeing verey concrete
  4. See what are the pitfalls
