ADVANCED-ORAL-IMPLANTOLOGY-STRUCTURED-PROGRAM

This 22-day theoretical/clinical course (divided into 9 modules) features handson and real patient treatment. Dentists are required to bring patients from their practices. Recommended cases include a need for implant treatment (A-Z treatment).

Cases will be completed under the guidance of clinical instructors.

The program will consist of 9 cores, eight cores are based in Dubai and the last (Case Presentation, final examination and Diploma awarding) will be in Germany.

• Live or video demos and hand-on trainings are included in most of the cores. For patient hands-on, all participants are encouraged to bring their own patients.
• Completion of all cores is a prerequisite for eligibility to obtain the diploma certificate.

Implant Prosthodontics I: Total Edentulism

Theoretical part:
1. Understand different restorative concepts for implants placed in edentulous jaws.
2. Learn how to make a decision between fixed or removable implant –supported prosthesis.
3. See treatment steps through a series of case presentations.
4. Be familiar with organizing recall and follow-up appointments.

Hands-on:
• Live demo: Abutment connection and impression making of implants.
• Hands-on: You will perform second stage surgery and make an impression of implants placed
in your patient using a custom-made impression tray, take bite registration and try-in the set-of
teeth in wax.
Implant Prosthodontics II: Partial Edentulism
1. Understand different restorative concepts for implants placed in partially edentulous jaws.
2. Learn how to make a decision between screw-retained and cement-retained restorations.
3. Learn how to make a decision in regards to the optimal number of implants needed for the case and the most appropriate restorative material.
4. See treatment steps through a series of case presentations.
5. Be familiar with organizing recall and follow-up appointments.

Hands-on:
Live demo: Impression taking of implant(s) placed in a partially edentulous jaw and fabrication of
provisionals.
Hands-on: Take an impression of implants placed in your patient and take check-bites. Try in the
frameworks (allceramic or metal). Try in the biscuit bake

This exciting weekend will give you the opportunity to evaluate how your skills were fine tuned through visited courses. The completion of the programme will be awarded with a diploma issued from the University of Freiburg/Germany, one of the most traditional and leading universities in Europe.
Knowledge and skills gained in different fields will be assessed through clinical case presentations. Each participant has to present the accomplished cases from A-Z. Each treatment step will be evaluated according to evidence-based and good clinical practice.
