Mission:

Empowering Health Care Providers (Professionals) with the tools and knowledge to advocate Oral Health as part of Overall General Health

Aim:

  1. The reduction of preventable oral health diseases (eg: Caries as indicative disease)
  2. The reduction of preventable health issues related to oral health
  3. Introducing a global approach to the initiative in cooperation with relevant international institutions, as an initiative launched from the UAE to the World

Objectives:

  1. Educating the public on the importance of oral health and its impact on general health
  2. Encouraging all members of the health profession to evaluate and advise on oral health
  3. Encourage a referral concept amongst health professionals
  4. Encourage national leaders to offer accessible and affordable oral health education and treatment for all
  5. To partner with the private sector on initiatives to deliver AFT to all sectors of society worldwide

Concept of Collaboration:

  1. To include all public and private health organisations and oral health companies to be part of this humanitarian initiative launched from the UAE to the world
  2. Providing health professionals from all health specialties, organisations and institutions with the tools to educate the community about the importance of oral health disease prevention
  3. Involving non-medical community organisations and institutions to promote and engage with the objective in cooperation with their designated health organisations
  4. Engaging and encouraging oral health manufacturers private companies to actively support the initiative in line with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community projects.

Post-Amble

As a first of its kind humanitarian initiative, and as part of its social responsibility, INDEX Holding launched OCEAN Initiative in cooperation with INDEX Holding’s scientific, medical, educational, and humanitarian conferences, and with strong support from local, regional, and international partners to implement this global project
