AEEDC Dubai 2024 Concluded with AED 19 Billion Worth of Business Deals

Dubai, UAE – 13th March 2024: The 28th edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2024) was successfully concluded with AED 19 billion worth of business deals. Held from February 6th to 8th at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event showcased the latest advancements in the dental and oral health industry.

AEEDC Dubai 2024 solidified its status as the world’s largest annual scientific dental conference and exhibition. With over 66,000 attendees from 155 countries, the event surpassed borders, fostering international partnerships and showcasing the latest advancements in dentistry.

The event (AEEDC Dubai 2024) was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, emphasizing the importance of such gatherings in driving innovation and improving quality of life. Accompanied by His Excellency Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of Dubai Health Authority; His Excellency Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region, Executive Chairman for AEEDC Dubai and the Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA); Dr. Howard Lieb, Associate Clinical Professor, International Project Coordinator, and Special Assistant to the Dean at the School of Dentistry at New York University; and Dr. Gregory Chadwick, President of the World Federation of Dentistry FDI; besides esteemed heads of delegations, associations, and scientific and academic organizations, among other notable figures representing 155 countries.

His Highness underscored Dubai’s pivotal role as an international hub for organizing and hosting major events, including sector-specific conferences and exhibitions with broad global appeal, particularly those relating to the healthcare sector.

Sheikh Mansoor and his accompanying delegation toured the exhibition, engaging with a host of international companies and health authorities while also exploring 12 country pavilions representing Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, South Korea, China, Spain, Italy, Russia, France, and the USA. His Highness shared insights with industry professionals and was engaged in pioneering medical advancements and solutions aimed at bolstering the dental and oral healthcare sectors, including advancements in diagnostic and treatment services.

AEEDC Dubai 2024 showcased over 5,300 international brands from 3,900 global and regional companies, spanning eight exhibition halls. From product launches to live demonstrations of cutting-edge technology, the event provided attendees with firsthand experience of the latest advancements in the field. Additionally, on Day 2, His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, honored AEEDC Dubai 2024 with his presence.

H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the remarkable progress made by “AEEDC Dubai” in recent years, underscoring the significance of these nationally embraced events and their profound influence on various economic sectors within the country.

During his visit to the exhibition, His Highness toured the pavilions of Brazil and Germany, the latter being this year’s honored guest (Germany), as well as a medical platform representing the United States of America. Additionally, he visited the Dubai Health Authority Pavilion.

One of the key highlights of AEEDC Dubai 2024 was the launch of the “GSDA 2024 Declaration” by the Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA). This strategic framework sets forth essential guidelines and recommendations to drive future innovations and improvements in the dental industry, address critical issues, and shape the direction of oral healthcare globally.

Furthermore, the Emirates Pediatric Dentistry Club (EPDC) Forum, in collaboration with esteemed scientific partners, provided a comprehensive program addressing critical issues in pediatric dental care. Sessions led by industry experts shed light on the challenges associated with treating medically compromised children, offering valuable insights for dental practitioners worldwide.
