Dr. Javier Gutiérrez achieved the Degree of Medicine & Surgery at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) in 2007. Afterwards, he obtained the Medical Specialization in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona in 2013.
During his specialization, he performed several observerships at different prestigious centers abroad: Saint Jean Hospital (Brugge, Belgium; Dr. M. Mommaerts, 2011); R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (Baltimore, USA; Dr. E. Rodríguez, 2012); Clínica Teknon (Barcelona, Spain; Dr. F. Hernández-Alfaro, 2012); Cosmetic Facial Surgery Clinic (Virginia, USA; Dr. J. Niamtu III, 2014); Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital (New York, USA; Dr. S. Aston 2014); RinoFast Polanco (México DF, Mexico; Dr. H. M. Marín Méndez, 2016).
His whole medical education has been focused on Orthognathics and Facial Aesthetic Surgery.
He has worked as a consultant in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona from 2013 to 2017, where he has been leading the Orthognathics and Craniofacial Deformities Unit. Dr. Amarista is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas and Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Felix Amarista is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He received his D.D.S. at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), graduating with honors in 2011. After receiving his dental degree, he completed a 1-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at “Dr. Domingo Luciani” Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. Then he moved to Bogota, Colombia, and finished an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Bogota Central Military Hospital – Nueva Granada Military University in 2018. During his training, he was awarded “Researcher of the Year” for 2016 and 2017 among all medical specialties and finally graduated as "Best Resident of First Specialization", among more than 80 medical specialists. Upon graduation, he was awarded “Best Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident in Latin America” by the Latin American Association of Traumatology and Bucomaxillofacial Surgery (ALACIBU). He recently received the IAOMS NextGen Outstanding Young Surgeon Award from the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the Daniel M. Laskin Award for the best manuscript published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2022 by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS).
Dr. Amarista joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio in 2018 to continue his education in the US and completed his residency in 2021. He has published several scientific articles in the OMS field, is committed to improving patient care through research, and is passionate about teaching and pursuing an academic career.
Dr. Amarista's clinical interests include the treatment of TMJ pathology including advanced TMJ arthroscopy, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, benign pathology, and complex dentoalveolar surgery including dental implants. His other interests include playing soccer, running, and going to the gym, and enjoys spending time with his wife who is also an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Dr. Amarista is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas and Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Felix Amarista is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He received his D.D.S. at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), graduating with honors in 2011. After receiving his dental degree, he completed a 1-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at “Dr. Domingo Luciani” Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. Then he moved to Bogota, Colombia, and finished an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Bogota Central Military Hospital – Nueva Granada Military University in 2018. During his training, he was awarded “Researcher of the Year” for 2016 and 2017 among all medical specialties and finally graduated as "Best Resident of First Specialization", among more than 80 medical specialists. Upon graduation, he was awarded “Best Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident in Latin America” by the Latin American Association of Traumatology and Bucomaxillofacial Surgery (ALACIBU). He recently received the IAOMS NextGen Outstanding Young Surgeon Award from the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the Daniel M. Laskin Award for the best manuscript published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2022 by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS).
Dr. Amarista joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio in 2018 to continue his education in the US and completed his residency in 2021. He has published several scientific articles in the OMS field, is committed to improving patient care through research, and is passionate about teaching and pursuing an academic career.
Dr. Amarista's clinical interests include the treatment of TMJ pathology including advanced TMJ arthroscopy, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, benign pathology, and complex dentoalveolar surgery including dental implants. His other interests include playing soccer, running, and going to the gym, and enjoys spending time with his wife who is also an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

His whole medical education has been focused on Orthognathics and Facial Aesthetic Surgery.
He has worked as a consultant in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona from 2013 to 2017, where he has been leading the Orthognathics and Craniofacial Deformities Unit. He also worked as a professor at the School of Medicine in Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.
Dr. Gutiérrez accomplished a two-year period fellowship in Facial Feminization Surgery with Facialteam in 2017 and now he is a surgical pillar member within our team and currently the main responsible of Facialteam Barcelona.

Dr. Amarista joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio in 2018 to continue his education in the US and completed his residency in 2021. He has published several scientific articles in the OMS field, is committed to improving patient care through research, and is passionate about teaching and pursuing an academic career.
Dr. Amarista's clinical interests include the treatment of TMJ pathology including advanced TMJ arthroscopy, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, benign pathology, and complex dentoalveolar surgery including dental implants. His other interests include playing soccer, running, and going to the gym, and enjoys spending time with his wife who is also an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Dr. Javier Gutiérrez achieved the Degree of Medicine & Surgery at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) in 2007. Afterwards, he obtained the Medical Specialization in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona in 2013.
During his specialization, he performed several observerships at different prestigious centers abroad: Saint Jean Hospital (Brugge, Belgium; Dr. M. Mommaerts, 2011); R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (Baltimore, USA; Dr. E. Rodríguez, 2012); Clínica Teknon (Barcelona, Spain; Dr. F. Hernández-Alfaro, 2012); Cosmetic Facial Surgery Clinic (Virginia, USA; Dr. J. Niamtu III, 2014); Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital (New York, USA; Dr. S. Aston 2014); RinoFast Polanco (México DF, Mexico; Dr. H. M. Marín Méndez, 2016).
His whole medical education has been focused on Orthognathics and Facial Aesthetic Surgery.
He has worked as a consultant in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona from 2013 to 2017, where he has been leading the Orthognathics and Craniofacial Deformities Unit. He also worked as a professor at the School of Medicine in Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.
Dr. Gutiérrez accomplished a two-year period fellowship in Facial Feminization Surgery with Facialteam in 2017 and now he is a surgical pillar member within our team and currently the main responsible of Facialteam Barcelona.

Dr. Amarista is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas and Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Felix Amarista is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He received his D.D.S. at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), graduating with honors in 2011. After receiving his dental degree, he completed a 1-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at “Dr. Domingo Luciani” Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. Then he moved to Bogota, Colombia, and finished an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Bogota Central Military Hospital – Nueva Granada Military University in 2018. During his training, he was awarded “Researcher of the Year” for 2016 and 2017 among all medical specialties and finally graduated as "Best Resident of First Specialization", among more than 80 medical specialists. Upon graduation, he was awarded “Best Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident in Latin America” by the Latin American Association of Traumatology and Bucomaxillofacial Surgery (ALACIBU). He recently received the IAOMS NextGen Outstanding Young Surgeon Award from the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the Daniel M. Laskin Award for the best manuscript published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2022 by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS).

Dr. Amarista is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas and Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Felix Amarista is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He received his D.D.S. at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), graduating with honors in 2011. After receiving his dental degree, he completed a 1-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at “Dr. Domingo Luciani” Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. Then he moved to Bogota, Colombia, and finished an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Bogota Central Military Hospital – Nueva Granada Military University in 2018. During his training, he was awarded “Researcher of the Year” for 2016 and 2017 among all medical specialties and finally graduated as "Best Resident of First Specialization", among more than 80 medical specialists. Upon graduation, he was awarded “Best Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Resident in Latin America” by the Latin American Association of Traumatology and Bucomaxillofacial Surgery (ALACIBU). He recently received the IAOMS NextGen Outstanding Young Surgeon Award from the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the Daniel M. Laskin Award for the best manuscript published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2022 by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS).
Dr. Amarista joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio in 2018 to continue his education in the US and completed his residency in 2021. He has published several scientific articles in the OMS field, is committed to improving patient care through research, and is passionate about teaching and pursuing an academic career.
Dr. Amarista's clinical interests include the treatment of TMJ pathology including advanced TMJ arthroscopy, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, benign pathology, and complex dentoalveolar surgery including dental implants. His other interests include playing soccer, running, and going to the gym, and enjoys spending time with his wife who is also an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

Dr. Jorge Masià achieved the Degree of Medicine & Surgery at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) in 2010. Afterwards, he obtained the Medical Specialization in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona in 2016.
During his specialization, he performed several observerships at different prestigious centers abroad: University of Innsbruck. Clinic for Cranio-Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery. Between 2016 and 2020, after finishing his medical specialization, dr. Masìa worked at the Maxilofacial Institute of Medical Center Teknon where he obtained his high specialization in Orthognathic Surgery and Aesthetic Facial Surgery.
Dr. Masià is a professor at the Maxillofacial department of the International University of Catalonia, where he’s active as a professor in undergraduate, graduate and master studies.
