Dr. Alejandro Martínez is a Mexican board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon School of Dentistry. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Regional 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE in Mexico, D.F, where he obtained an Academic Honorable Mention. He completed an Orthognathic and Temporomandibular Joint Fellowship from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry, at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fl., under Dr. Frank Dolwick (1989-1990). Dr. Martinez is the director of his private practice at UVA Clinic Face Architects in Monterrey, Mexico. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthognathic surgery in the Orthodontics Postgraduate program at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, School of Dentistry. Associate professor at the maxillofacial surgery residency program on 20 of November Medical Regional Hospital ISSSTE and invited professor at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Florida. He has also been invited as a European Board Examination Certification Process professor. He is the Author and Co-Author of several national and international articles and book chapters in our specialty and is an international lecturer recognized globally as a leading expert in corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery. Dr. Martinez has over 31 years of experience in research and treatment of complex jaw revision surgery, total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea treatment, dental implants, and dentoalveolar surgery. He receives numerous awards for his contributions to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Martinez is a Mexican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AMCBMC) member. Also, a member of the ALACIBU (Latin American Assoc. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) and IAOMS (International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons). Certified Board member by the Mexican Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Also Certified Member by the Latin-American Board of OMF (BLACIBU). Former President of the Mexican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AMCBMC) 2008-2009. Former President of the Mexican Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2009-2012. Former President of ALACIBU 2012-2013 (Latin American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). Since 2017, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent Majeed Rana Deputy Clinic Director and Senior Consultant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Düsseldorf. His surgical treatment focuses include computer-assisted reconstructive facial surgery, tumor surgery with microvascular reconstructions and the treatment of patients with craniofacial malformations or cleft lip and palate. On a scientific level, his research group deals with the therapy of malignant tumor diseases as well as the development of innovative procedures in the field of computer-assisted surgery. Especially in the Field of Computer-Assisted Surgery, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. Dent. Majeed Rana Author of numerous leading scientific publications. At the University Hospital Düsseldorf, he is also responsible coordinator for the teaching of medical and dental students in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Alejandro Martínez is a Mexican board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon School of Dentistry. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Regional 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE in Mexico, D.F, where he obtained an Academic Honorable Mention. He completed an Orthognathic and Temporomandibular Joint Fellowship from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry, at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fl., under Dr. Frank Dolwick (1989-1990). Dr. Martinez is the director of his private practice at UVA Clinic Face Architects in Monterrey, Mexico. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthognathic surgery in the Orthodontics Postgraduate program at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, School of Dentistry. Associate professor at the maxillofacial surgery residency program on 20 of November Medical Regional Hospital ISSSTE and invited professor at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Florida. He has also been invited as a European Board Examination Certification Process professor. He is the Author and Co-Author of several national and international articles and book chapters in our specialty and is an international lecturer recognized globally as a leading expert in corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery. Dr. Martinez has over 31 years of experience in research and treatment of complex jaw revision surgery, total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea treatment, dental implants, and dentoalveolar surgery. He receives numerous awards for his contributions to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Martinez is a Mexican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AMCBMC) member. Also, a member of the ALACIBU (Latin American Assoc. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) and IAOMS (International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons). Dr. Nasser Alasseri was born and raised in Riyadh. He finished high school, then he attended King Saud bin Abdulaziz University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery. After that, he attended the Saudi Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he completed 5 years of both academic and practical intensive training, which qualified him to earn the Saudi Specialist Certificate in Maxillofacial Surgery in 2011. Afterward, he completed the Saudi Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Johan served as professor in the department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at the university of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg since 1991 and was appointed as an honorary professor at the university of the Western Cape in 2014, South Africa. Internationally, he also holds professorships at the university of Oklahoma and Florida in the USA as well as the university of Nacional Autònoma de Mexico, San Salvador, Mexico and is a visiting professor at the University of Amsterdam. He was awarded the Fellowship in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery in 2003 by peer review in the College of Medicine of South Africa and obtained his PhD at the University of Tampere, Finland in March 2006. Johan has a passion for Orthognathic and Reconstructive facial surgery and has presented numerous national and international courses and lectures on the subject. He has published more than 100 papers in refereed journals and has also written chapters in numerous well-known textbooks on Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He has published several textbooks on orthognathic surgery and the 3rd Edition of his book “Essentials of Orthognathic Surgery” was published in 2022. He has lectured on all four continents of the world and in 2013 Johan had the honour to present the Presidential lecture at the 21st International Conference of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Barcelona. Prof. Reyneke served as a member of the Executive Committee of the South African Society of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons from 1984 to 2000 and served as the President from 1994 to 1998. He served as the President of the College of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons of South Africa from 2008 to 2011. He serves on the editorial board of several international journals and has performed orthognathic surgical procedures for more than 9000 patients over the last 43 years. He was honoured with several national and international professional awards and spends his leisure time on art and golf. Johan is semi-retired at the moments, is a visiting professor at the University of Amsterdam and lives in Laren, The Netherlands.

Dr. Ghali has lived and practiced in Shreveport, Louisiana since 1993. He and his wife, Hope, have four children. Dr. Ghali’s practice spans the full scope of craniomaxillofacial surgery. His professional interest lies in the treatment of pediatric craniofacial deformities including craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate, and dentofacial deformities. However, his surgical and teaching interests also include cosmetic surgery, head and neck oncology, and maxillofacial trauma.
Dr. Ghali served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2004-2021), Dean of LSU School of Medicine (2016-2018), and Chancellor of LSU Health Sciences Center (2016-2021). He has been very active in resident, fellow, and student education. Dr. Ghali has continued to serve in leadership positions in national and international organizations such as the ACS, AAOMS, ABOMS, and IAOMS. Dr. Ghali’s association with these organizations is recognized in shaping the profession of oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as providing international recognition for this community.
Dr. Ghali has numerous research interests including clinical and basic science research. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, written many book chapters and has edited textbooks that are vital to the knowledge base of many in the specialty.

Dr. Ghali has lived and practiced in Shreveport, Louisiana since 1993. He and his wife, Hope, have four children. Dr. Ghali’s practice spans the full scope of craniomaxillofacial surgery. His professional interest lies in the treatment of pediatric craniofacial deformities including craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate, and dentofacial deformities. However, his surgical and teaching interests also include cosmetic surgery, head and neck oncology, and maxillofacial trauma.
Dr. Ghali served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2004-2021), Dean of LSU School of Medicine (2016-2018), and Chancellor of LSU Health Sciences Center (2016-2021). He has been very active in resident, fellow, and student education. Dr. Ghali has continued to serve in leadership positions in national and international organizations such as the ACS, AAOMS, ABOMS, and IAOMS. Dr. Ghali’s association with these organizations is recognized in shaping the profession of oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as providing international recognition for this community.
Dr. Ghali has numerous research interests including clinical and basic science research. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, written many book chapters and has edited textbooks that are vital to the knowledge base of many in the specialty.

Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kuwait University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Surgical Sciences.
Dr. Mohammad Kamal is a German and European Board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with focused specialization in the correction of dentofacial deformities and corrective jaw surgery. Dr. Kamal is dually qualified in dentistry and medicine and licensed physician and dentist in Kuwait and Germany, and has been trained at several top ranked international universities. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kuwait University Health Sciences Center, Department of Surgical Sciences. Dr. Mohammad Kamal was born in Kuwait where he completed his primary and secondary education before moving to the United States in 1996 to pursue his university education. He first completed his Bachelor of Science B.Sc. degree with magna cum laude in medical sciences at Boston University School of Arts and Sciences in 2000, then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine D.M.D. degree with magna cum laude and first rank among all dental graduates of Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. He has received several awards and prizes during his studies in the United States including the American Dental Association/Dentsply Student Clinician Program Award, the Sigma Xi award and first place winner in scientific poster presentation at Boston University Science and Technology day, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Student Award, the Quintessence Award for Research Achievement, the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Award. He then pursued further clinical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of California San Francisco before completing Doctor of Medicine M.D. degree from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in 2011. Mohammad worked in Kuwait as a dentist and as a physician in different hospitals and medical disciplines before moving to Germany to continue his surgical specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at RWTH Aachen University Hospital and was officially certified as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Germany (Facharzt) in 2018. He also completed the European board examination and became a Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Head and Neck Surgery (FEBOMS) in Munich, 2018.

Dr. Fattahi is an associate professor of Surgery and the Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Fattahi has been at UFHSCJ since 2002. After attending dental school, he completed medical school as well as his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Upon finishing his residency, he enrolled into a one year Facial Aesthetic Surgery fellowship under the guidance of Dr. T. Williams Evans in Columbus, OH. Dr. Fattahi’s practice currently includes management of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, as well as facial aesthetic surgery. His training in facial aesthetic surgery following his residency has allowed him the opportunity to establish an aesthetic surgery practice while at the University setting.

His surgical treatment focuses include computer-assisted reconstructive facial surgery, tumor surgery with microvascular reconstructions and the treatment of patients with craniofacial malformations or cleft lip and palate. On a scientific level, his research group deals with the therapy of malignant tumor diseases as well as the development of innovative procedures in the field of computer-assisted surgery. Especially in the Field of Computer-Assisted Surgery, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. Dent. Majeed Rana Author of numerous leading scientific publications. At the University Hospital Düsseldorf, he is also responsible coordinator for the teaching of medical and dental students in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Johan served as professor in the department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at the university of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg since 1991 and was appointed as an honorary professor at the university of the Western Cape in 2014, South Africa. Internationally, he also holds professorships at the university of Oklahoma and Florida in the USA as well as the university of Nacional Autònoma de Mexico, San Salvador, Mexico and is a visiting professor at the University of Amsterdam. He was awarded the Fellowship in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery in 2003 by peer review in the College of Medicine of South Africa and obtained his PhD at the University of Tampere, Finland in March 2006. Johan has a passion for Orthognathic and Reconstructive facial surgery and has presented numerous national and international courses and lectures on the subject. He has published more than 100 papers in refereed journals and has also written chapters in numerous well-known textbooks on Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He has published several textbooks on orthognathic surgery and the 3rd Edition of his book “Essentials of Orthognathic Surgery” was published in 2022. He has lectured on all four continents of the world and in 2013 Johan had the honour to present the Presidential lecture at the 21st International Conference of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Barcelona. Prof. Reyneke served as a member of the Executive Committee of the South African Society of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons from 1984 to 2000 and served as the President from 1994 to 1998. He served as the President of the College of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons of South Africa from 2008 to 2011. He serves on the editorial board of several international journals and has performed orthognathic surgical procedures for more than 9000 patients over the last 43 years. He was honoured with several national and international professional awards and spends his leisure time on art and golf. Johan is semi-retired at the moments, is a visiting professor at the University of Amsterdam and lives in Laren, The Netherlands.

Dr. Alejandro Martínez is a Mexican board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon School of Dentistry. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Regional 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE in Mexico, D.F, where he obtained an Academic Honorable Mention. He completed an Orthognathic and Temporomandibular Joint Fellowship from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry, at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fl., under Dr. Frank Dolwick (1989-1990). Dr. Martinez is the director of his private practice at UVA Clinic Face Architects in Monterrey, Mexico. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthognathic surgery in the Orthodontics Postgraduate program at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon, School of Dentistry. Associate professor at the maxillofacial surgery residency program on 20 of November Medical Regional Hospital ISSSTE and invited professor at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Florida. He has also been invited as a European Board Examination Certification Process professor. He is the Author and Co-Author of several national and international articles and book chapters in our specialty and is an international lecturer recognized globally as a leading expert in corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery. Dr. Martinez has over 31 years of experience in research and treatment of complex jaw revision surgery, total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea treatment, dental implants, and dentoalveolar surgery. He receives numerous awards for his contributions to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Martinez is a Mexican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AMCBMC) member. Also, a member of the ALACIBU (Latin American Assoc. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) and IAOMS (International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons). Certified Board member by the Mexican Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Also Certified Member by the Latin-American Board of OMF (BLACIBU). Keynote Lecture: Rhinoplasty - Racial and Regional Considerations

Dr. Richardson is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. After further training in various leading centres across India and abroad, he started his private practice at Nagercoil, a city very close to the southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari. Dr. Richardson has performed over 18000 facial surgeries including 10 000 cleft lip and palate related surgeries. He is a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Starcare hospital, Seeb, Muscat, Oman for the last four years He is also a consultant craniofacial surgeon to Apollo Hospitals – Margoa, Goa and Madurai branches besides consulting regularly at Dr. Jeyasekharan Hospital, Nagercoil and AVM Hospitals, Tuticorin. He has also been invited to deliver guest lectures in over 20 countries in the last decade itself. He conducted the grand rounds for the Yale University Plastic Surgery in the year 2014 and Stanford University Plastic Surgery in 2017. Dr. Richardson has traveled across the globe and has delivered scientific presentations and invited lectures in numerous meetings and conferences. The world cleft congress at USA and Brazil, The 6th Pan Arab Conference at Jeddah, periocular workshop at Spain to name a few recent ones. Dr. Richardson is recognized among his peers and seniors alike and has been invited to provide educational surgeries in Spain, Bulgaria, Jordan, Maldives, Seychelles, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Madagascar, and many other developing countries and in many centres across India. Dr. Mohammad Kamal

Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kuwait University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Surgical Sciences.
Dr. Mohammad Kamal is a German and European Board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with focused specialization in the correction of dentofacial deformities and corrective jaw surgery. Dr. Kamal is dually qualified in dentistry and medicine and licensed physician and dentist in Kuwait and Germany, and has been trained at several top ranked international universities. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kuwait University Health Sciences Center, Department of Surgical Sciences. Dr. Mohammad Kamal was born in Kuwait where he completed his primary and secondary education before moving to the United States in 1996 to pursue his university education. He first completed his Bachelor of Science B.Sc. degree with magna cum laude in medical sciences at Boston University School of Arts and Sciences in 2000, then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine D.M.D. degree with magna cum laude and first rank among all dental graduates of Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. He has received several awards and prizes during his studies in the United States including the American Dental Association/Dentsply Student Clinician Program Award, the Sigma Xi award and first place winner in scientific poster presentation at Boston University Science and Technology day, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Student Award, the Quintessence Award for Research Achievement, the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Award. He then pursued further clinical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of California San Francisco before completing Doctor of Medicine M.D. degree from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in 2011. Mohammad worked in Kuwait as a dentist and as a physician in different hospitals and medical disciplines before moving to Germany to continue his surgical specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at RWTH Aachen University Hospital and was officially certified as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Germany (Facharzt) in 2018. He also completed the European board examination and became a Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Head and Neck Surgery (FEBOMS) in Munich, 2018.

Dr. Sanjiv.Nair graduated from the Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala in the year 1987. He completed his post graduate degree in Oral and maxillofacial surgery from the same institution in 2000, passing out with honours. Dr. Nair did his higher surgical training in Maxillofacial surgery at the North Manchester General from 1994 to 1997 after having successfully completed the FFD RCS (Ireland). Prior to which he served as faculty in the College of Dental surgery, Kasturba Medical College between 1990 and 1994. Dr. Nair is an expert in ablative head and neck surgery and reconstruction, Surgical management of Oral cancer, other benign and malignant lesions of the head and neck region and salivary gland pathology. He has the largest series of head and neck vascular malformation surgically treated to his credit. He also coordinates the fellowship programme in Aesthetic facial surgery under the Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences. He is presently professor and head of department, oral and maxillofacial surgery, Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences. Consultant surgeon at Columbia Asia hospitals, B.M Jain Hospital, and Mallya hospital, Bangalore. He has served as Academic council member in the RGUHS in 2008-09. Dr. Sanjiv Nair has served as the executive member of the International association of maxillofacial surgeons and was vice chairman of the 18th ICOMS; Bangalore. He has several international and national presentations and publications in Orofacial malignancies and Vascular lesions apart from contribution to the textbook of Maxillofacial surgery by Peter Ward Booth, Schendel and Hausemen. Dr. Nair is a faculty for hands on training in head and neck surgery at the national level.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Muharraqi is a United Kingdom (UK) doubly-qualified Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgeon currently working as a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (RMS-BDF). He is also a Section (Associate) Editor at the British Journal of Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS) and Senior Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI-MUB). A University of Dundee (Scotland, UK) alumnus for both his Medical (MBChB, Dundee) and Dental (BDS, Dundee) degrees; he pursued a Clinical Masters Degree in Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery (MDSc, Dundee) during his internship at the same university. He then completed the Membership exam from the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFDS RCS, England) and followed that with the exit speciality Fellowship exams of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in both Oral Surgery (FFD RCS OS, Ireland) and then in Oral Medicine (FFD RCS OM, Ireland). Following completion of a Surgical Training Rotation in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at one of the most active NHS Trust rotations in the United Kingdom, NHS Tayside, he passed his surgical membership exam (MRCS, Glasgow) in 2008. Clinically he has a keen interest in facial trauma and pan-facial fractures, temporomandibular (TMJ) arthroscopy and surgery (total joint replacement), orthognathics, oral medicine and oral oncology. Outside his clinical work, he has a vast interest in medical and dental education, research and evidence based healthcare which includes being a Cochrane library contributor.

Dr. Fattahi is an associate professor of Surgery and the Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Fattahi has been at UFHSCJ since 2002. After attending dental school, he completed medical school as well as his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Upon finishing his residency, he enrolled into a one year Facial Aesthetic Surgery fellowship under the guidance of Dr. T. Williams Evans in Columbus, OH. Dr. Fattahi’s practice currently includes management of facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, as well as facial aesthetic surgery. His training in facial aesthetic surgery following his residency has allowed him the opportunity to establish an aesthetic surgery practice while at the University setting.

Dr. Ghali has lived and practiced in Shreveport, Louisiana since 1993. He and his wife, Hope, have four children. Dr. Ghali’s practice spans the full scope of craniomaxillofacial surgery. His professional interest lies in the treatment of pediatric craniofacial deformities including craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate, and dentofacial deformities. However, his surgical and teaching interests also include cosmetic surgery, head and neck oncology, and maxillofacial trauma.
Dr. Ghali served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2004-2021), Dean of LSU School of Medicine (2016-2018), and Chancellor of LSU Health Sciences Center (2016-2021). He has been very active in resident, fellow, and student education. Dr. Ghali has continued to serve in leadership positions in national and international organizations such as the ACS, AAOMS, ABOMS, and IAOMS. Dr. Ghali’s association with these organizations is recognized in shaping the profession of oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as providing international recognition for this community.
Dr. Ghali has numerous research interests including clinical and basic science research. He has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, written many book chapters and has edited textbooks that are vital to the knowledge base of many in the specialty.

Since 2017, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent Majeed Rana Deputy Clinic Director and Senior Consultant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Düsseldorf. His surgical treatment focuses include computer-assisted reconstructive facial surgery, tumor surgery with microvascular reconstructions and the treatment of patients with craniofacial malformations or cleft lip and palate. On a scientific level, his research group deals with the therapy of malignant tumor diseases as well as the development of innovative procedures in the field of computer-assisted surgery. Especially in the Field of Computer-Assisted Surgery, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. Dent. Majeed Rana Author of numerous leading scientific publications. At the University Hospital Düsseldorf, he is also responsible coordinator for the teaching of medical and dental students in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Muharraqi is a United Kingdom (UK) doubly-qualified Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgeon currently working as a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (RMS-BDF). He is also a Section (Associate) Editor at the British Journal of Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS) and Senior Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI-MUB). A University of Dundee (Scotland, UK) alumnus for both his Medical (MBChB, Dundee) and Dental (BDS, Dundee) degrees; he pursued a Clinical Masters Degree in Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery (MDSc, Dundee) during his internship at the same university. He then completed the Membership exam from the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFDS RCS, England) and followed that with the exit speciality Fellowship exams of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in both Oral Surgery (FFD RCS OS, Ireland) and then in Oral Medicine (FFD RCS OM, Ireland). Following completion of a Surgical Training Rotation in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at one of the most active NHS Trust rotations in the United Kingdom, NHS Tayside, he passed his surgical membership exam (MRCS, Glasgow) in 2008. Clinically he has a keen interest in facial trauma and pan-facial fractures, temporomandibular (TMJ) arthroscopy and surgery (total joint replacement), orthognathics, oral medicine and oral oncology. Outside his clinical work, he has a vast interest in medical and dental education, research and evidence based healthcare which includes being a Cochrane library contributor.

Dr. Sanjiv.Nair graduated from the Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala in the year 1987. He completed his post graduate degree in Oral and maxillofacial surgery from the same institution in 2000, passing out with honours. Dr. Nair did his higher surgical training in Maxillofacial surgery at the North Manchester General from 1994 to 1997 after having successfully completed the FFD RCS (Ireland). Prior to which he served as faculty in the College of Dental surgery, Kasturba Medical College between 1990 and 1994. Dr. Nair is an expert in ablative head and neck surgery and reconstruction, Surgical management of Oral cancer, other benign and malignant lesions of the head and neck region and salivary gland pathology. He has the largest series of head and neck vascular malformation surgically treated to his credit. He also coordinates the fellowship programme in Aesthetic facial surgery under the Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences. He is presently professor and head of department, oral and maxillofacial surgery, Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences. Consultant surgeon at Columbia Asia hospitals, B.M Jain Hospital, and Mallya hospital, Bangalore. He has served as Academic council member in the RGUHS in 2008-09. Dr. Sanjiv Nair has served as the executive member of the International association of maxillofacial surgeons and was vice chairman of the 18th ICOMS; Bangalore. He has several international and national presentations and publications in Orofacial malignancies and Vascular lesions apart from contribution to the textbook of Maxillofacial surgery by Peter Ward Booth, Schendel and Hausemen. Dr. Nair is a faculty for hands on training in head and neck surgery at the national level.
