AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic Conference – Specialty Residents' Abstract Submission Criteria

As part of our new initiative by the AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic Conference 2027 to encourage postgraduate residents to engage in scientific exchange, and to prepare future well qualified speakers, specialty residents are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic Conference 2027. Two 20-minute specialty resident slots will be allocated per day during the orthodontic conference program in a dedicated session.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to all orthodontic residents currently enrolled in accredited specialty residency programs.
  • Each resident may submit one abstract as first author.
  • Co-authorship with faculty or peers is permitted. Only specialty residents can be considered as speakers for this purpose.

Abstract Requirements

  1. Content
    • Must be relevant to orthodontics (completed clinical research, case report, completed audits, completed quality improvement projects, or systematic reviews).
    • Should clearly highlight objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. (as per the attached form)
    • Case reports should include diagnosis, treatment planning, execution, and outcomes.
  2. Format
    • Word limit: 250–300 words.
    • Structured format: Title, Authors (with affiliations), Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
    • Up to 2 figures or tables may be included.

3.Quality Criteria

    • Originality and scientific merit.
    • Clinical relevance and educational value.
    • Clarity, coherence, and adherence to submission guidelines.

The Selection Process will be as follows:

  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
  • The highest category of selected abstracts will be assigned to the specialty Resident slots (20 minutes each) in the Orthodontic Conference Program. Presentations will be oral (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A).

Presentation Guidelines

  • Accepted abstracts must be developed into a PowerPoint presentation following AEEDC template guidelines.
  • Supervisors must review and approve presentations before submission.
  • Residents are expected to rehearse and adhere strictly to allocated time slots.

Important Notes

  • Abstracts must be submitted by 1st October 2026.
  • The best resident presentation will be recognized with an award and complimentary registration for AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic Conference 2028.
